Even License Renewal

Notes:

a.  Continuing Education (CE).  You may acquire all CE hours online.  The Board automatically recognizes CE courses that have been approved through the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) or the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval of Continuing Education (AGD PACE).  There has never been a limit for the number of CE hours acquired online. 

b.  CPR.  All CPR courses may have a hands-on portion.  You may claim four (4) hours of CE for completing your CPR course.

c.  Changing License Status from Active to Retired.  If you want to change your license from active to retired status, you must request a paper renewal form (dental.info@ks.gov).  You cannot change your license status through the online renewal system.  A retired license will still have to be renewed every two years.

d.  Legal Questions.  If you are required to answer "Yes" in response to any legal question, you must request a paper renewal form (dental.info@ks.gov).  When requesting the paper renewal form, you must explain why you are need a copy of the form.

e.  Closing a License File.  If you are retiring from practice and never intend to practice again, you must inform the Board office in writing of your decision.  Once the Board office is notified of your decision, your license file will be closed and your obligation to the Board is complete.
