Is a patient entitled to a copy of his or her dental records?

Yes.  The records include a complete copy including diagnostic quality x-rays and notes.

How long must a dentist retain patient records?

10 years from the last day of service.  These can be retained digitally. K.A.R. 71-1-15.

How long must lab prescriptions be saved?

2 years.  K.S.A. 65-1438.

How long must spore logs be saved?

3 years.  K.A.R. 71-1-18.
